Stroomloop

Are you ready for Stroomloop? Nice. Maybe it's the first time you're running it, or maybe it's your first time. WIth the Runners' lab tips, you are well prepared for your trail run.

Trail shoes

Stroomloop is mostly unpaved: grass, gravel, dolomite... Especially in wet weather, trail shoes are recommended.

Hydration systems

There will be aid stations during Stroomloop. But it might be a plus to bring your own water on the go, especially on warm days. There are different hydration systems that help you stay properly hydrated during your efforts. The most common are soft flasks or running vests. Vests also provide space for other essentials like bars, gels, or jacket.

Plus, Stroomloop is a cupless event. That means we don't use plastic cups at the aid stations. Make sure to bring your own soft cup or flask that can be filled at the stations.

Breathable, comfortable clothes

In May, temperatures can be unpredictable. We hope for sunny weather, and in that case, breathable clothes are recommended. When you're running, they keep you comfortably fresh. When the sun isn't shining, dress up in layers: start with a baselayer, a shirt above and, if needed, a jacket to protect against rain or wind.

Sports nutrition

Extra energy along the way might be a plus to prevent an energy dip.  A gel, bar, or sports drink is not unnecessary. And for after the finish, a recovery drink can prevent sore muscles the following day.
