The importance of a good sports bra

Wearing the wrong sports bra can have detrimental effects on our bodies. Many women experience back or neck pain while running. Additionally, it affects your athletic performance and can even cause irreparable damage to muscle tissue. All the more reason to invest in a quality sports bra. Still not convinced? We'll convince you in our article on the importance of a good sports bra.

What type of sports bra should I choose?

Do you prefer a high support in a sports bra, or do you prefer one with minimal support? What is your correct cup size and bra size? Are you opting for a bra with crossed or straight shoulder straps? You can also choose between a bra in one piece or one with separate cups. There are many aspects that determine what a comfortable sports bra is for you. Everything depends on your body and preferences.

What should I keep in mind when buying a sports bra?

Contrary to what many think, it's not the shoulder straps that provide the most support, but the band around the chest. So, make sure it fits snugly around your body and doesn't ride up. Additionally, ensure that your breasts are well-contained by the cups. There should be no openings at the top or sides of the bra. Lastly, the shoulder straps are important. Ideally, they shouldn't be too narrow, or they'll dig in. Crossed straps provide extra support. For your own comfort, it's also advisable to choose a bra with well-hidden seams. This helps avoid chafing and irritation.
