The ASICS Sonicblast is a versatile shoe, suitable for both experienced runners and newbies in race running. The first group uses this shoe for interval or tempo training. Recreational runners can perfectly use the Sonicblast for their races.
We can consider this shoe the perfect ‘entry model’ towards the true race running shoes. Thanks to the pebax plate, you get used to the feeling of being propelled forward, however, this plate is less aggressive than the carbon plates in high-end racing shoes.
Cushioned and energetic
The dual-foam midsole provides both cushioning and an energetic feel. The top layer consists of FF Turbo², an extremely responsive material. The bottom layer is made out of FF BLAST™ Max, known for its comfortable cushioning.
Between these layers sits the pebax plate, which offers the necessary stiffness to propel you forward with every stride.
