The midsole possesses 4% additional FF Blast Turbo in the forefoot for more energetic toe-off. This is not only Asics' lightest foam, but also its most springy. When you throw these two ingredients into the mix, the result is an especially responsive drop-off. The outsole is lined with Asicsgrip™, a lightweight rubber material. It extends the durability of the shoe and provides better grip from start to finish, rain or shine.
The placement of the carbon plate was also optimized with more foam underneath to maximize energy return and stride length. The curve in this sole also provides an easier roll-off that helps support forward motion. The presence of a carbon plate along the entire length of the foot enhances the stability of the shoe and provides additional propulsion.
The super lightweight Motion Wrap mesh is designed for high speed running and keeps the midfoot perfectly in place. In addition, it is breathable and feels very comfortable.
