HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SPORTS BRA?
Chances are you're wearing the wrong sports bra...
And we really know that, because 80% of the women wear the wrong size or type. Running women admit it. In a survey of the sports bra habits, we obtained some surprising findings.
HOW SHOULD A SPORTS BRA FIT?
Before buying your sports bra, you must try it on. Every brand and model of sports bra is different in cup size, circumference and design. We would like to share a few points of attention when trying on a sports bra. Because standing before the mirror in your sports bra is totally different from running in it.
The horizontal strap
The circumference band is the most important variable when trying your sports bra. This band delivers the most support (no, it's not the shoulder bands, as you might expected).
How can I test this? Put your hands up in the air! Does the circumference band ride up? Than it is too loose. Does he stay in place? Perfect!
The cup size
Always keep in mind that your breasts should be enclosed in the bra. They may not bulge out of the bra, because that means your cup size is too small. Check if there are openings or folds in the material: that means the size is too big.
How can I test this? Here too, just put your hands up in the air. When your breast come out under the bra, the size is too small. Also have a look at the neckline. When it's too deep, it probably can't control the upwarding movements of your breasts.
The shoulder straps
You also have to take into account the shoulder straps. Ideally, they are soft and wide, so they won't rub. The straps can fit a bit looser than the horizontal strap.
Are you looking for something more supportive? Choose for crossed straps on your back. These give more support on the side and bottom.
