Whoever combines work and running can't get around it: putting on your running shoes before or after the workday. In summer, there's no problem. In winter, it takes a bit more effort: cold, rain, or even snow. And of course: darkness. That's why you should be equipped with good lighting, so you can see everything clearly and, above all, be visible to others. 

Running lights come in different models. At Runners' lab, we mainly opt for the headlamps. The reason is simple: a headlamp is generally the favorite among runners. The big advantage of having a light on your head is that the beam moves with the direction you're looking. You turn your head to the left? The lamp turns with you to light up the spot you want to see.

Petzl Actik Core 600

The Petzl Actik Core 600 is an ideal headlamp for all your outdoor activities. 

A powerful light output of 600 lumens illuminates the road in the dark, even when running or hiking in forests and mountains. 

You can adjust the brightness and light color: white or red light? A strong or weaker beam? It's up to you. 

The reflective headband ensures that you remain visible. 

A rechargeable battery is included. The headlamp also works with regular AAA batteries.

Petzl Nao RL 

De Petzl Nao RL is the most powerful headlamp in the our Runners' lab assortment. It also has both a front and a rear light, ensuring you are visible from all sides. 

With 1500 lumens, it will optimally illuminate dark forest and mountain trails. 

The brightness automatically adjusts to the ambient light thanks to the Reactive Lighting Technology. This creates greater visual comfort and extends the lamp's battery life. 

A red rear light keeps you visible from behind. You can opt for continuous or strobe light. Switch it on and off with a button. 

A rechargeable battery is included and can be charged via USB-C. A great extra: this battery can also serve as a powerbank to charge other devices, such as a phone or watch. That comes in handy during ultra trails or hikes.

Petzl Swift RL Lamp 1100

Compact, rechargeable, and extra powerful - that's how we can describe this Petzl RL. 

With 1100 lumens, the headlamp illuminates the environment in the dark. 

The brightness automatically adjusts to the ambient light, thanks to the Reactive Lighting Technology. This creates a greater visual comfort and it extends the lamp's battery life. 

A rechargeable battery is included and can be charged via USB-C. 

At the back, there's a split strap. That ensures the lamp sits stable on your head, so it won't move.

Alternatives for the headlamps

UltrAspire Lumen 180 Clip Light 

A more simplistic alternative to the headlamp is the UltrAspire Clip Light. With a clip and a magnet, you can easily attach it to any clothing.  

A soft silicone casing prevents damage to your clothing. 

With 4 light modes, you can choose the brightness of the beam. The maximum brightness is 180 lumens. A flashing mode is also an option. 

A rechargeable battery makes it easy to prepare the light for the next use. The charging cable is included.

Bee-safe harness with lamp 

This harness is a combination of several functions. First of all, the reflective material keeps you visible in the dark. The front light ensures you can see everything ahead, and the front pocket offers storage for your phone (or other essentials). 

The vest keeps you visible from every angle. 4 white led lights on the front, 4 red led lights on the back, and reflective stripes over your shoulders create 360° visibility. 

The front light illuminates the ground in front of your feet with 300 lumens. It has a continuous or strobe mode.

Bee-safe led waistlight 

This Bee-safe hip light is primarily designed to keep you visible to other road users with a white led strip at the front and red leds at the back. 

The lightweight, elastic belt provides optimal comfort while running or walking. It doesn't get in the way or cause irritation.  

250 lumens are bright enough to be seen by other road users in the dark. You can choose between continuous or strobe light.

The adjustable design ensures a comfortable fit for all users.
