For the Nike Structure Plus, insights were gathered to achieve an optimal balance between stability and cushioning. The result: support, cushioning, and a responsive feel for your everyday (long) runs.
For the first time, ZoomX foam was added to a stability shoe, combined with the ReactX foam. This creates energy return while also providing support and comfort. More cushioning makes this shoe ideal for longer distances.
Nike's innovative support system is also integrated into the midsole. It offers a firm wrap around the midfoot along the sides of the heel, giving you increased stability.
The main strengths lie in support and comfort, but the upper and outsole are equally noteworthy. The mesh upper provides breathability, keeping your feet feeling fresh. The soft collar and tongue add extra comfort.
The rubber outsole, especially under the heel, ensures better grip and added durability, while blown rubber in the forefoot guarantees good traction.
The Nike Structure Plus is not a replacement for the Structure 26, but rather a complement. It cuilds on the same foundation, with a bit more foam added to provide extra cushioning and comfort.
