The ASICS Sonicblast 2 is a supertrainer that makes your intervals and tempo runs feel much smoother. It’s lightweight, energetic, and creates a soft cushioning to run comfortably.

We consider these shoes as an ‘entry model’ towards the real race running shoes. The pebax plate makes you feel confident of being propelled forward. However, this plate is less ‘aggressive’ than the carbon plates in high-end racing shoes.

Dual-foam midsole

A dual-foam midsole exists of the FF BLAST MAX cushioning, one of ASICS’ most energetic foams. Besides, there is the FF TURBO SQUARED cushioning, delivering a powerful energy return and springy feel. Add the FF TURBO SQUARED trampoline pod to that, and you can’t ignore these shoes will be very bouncy.
