The trademark of the adidas Adizero Boston is still speed. That's no different with the latest version, the Adizero Boston 11. And yet, this fast shoe differs from its predecessors in quite a few ways. The midsole has been renewed and is therefore more shock absorbing. This is ideal if, in addition to your pace, you also care about the amount of cushioning.
The midsole of this latest release consists of Lightstrike and LightstrikePRO, the material that can also be found in the adidas Adizero Adios Pro. In addition to being responsive, this material also guarantees good shock absorption. The foam is also light so that the shoe does not carry excess weight.
The outsole can count on Continental™ Rubber. This material has already proven its reliability when it comes to grip, both on dry and wet surfaces. The outsole also contains EnergyRods. These flex-resistant carbon bars are intended to mimic the metatarsal to reduce impact on the body.
The upper of this fast shoe has been revamped mainly in terms of design. The Engineered Mesh upper still provides a comfortable enclosed feel, while Microfit technology provides support to the heel and midfoot. In terms of fit, the forefoot width has been increased slightly for greater stability.
This model was made from Primegreen, a range of recycled high-performance materials made from recycled components. By doing so, adidas underlines its sustainable and environmentally conscious nature.
